Its coming to year end 2024 and its time to reflect. One of the main questions I ask myself is "did I breakthrough any barriers that stopped me from being my authentic self in the workplace".

My new year's resolution was "that I was not going to tolerate someone else's abusive behaviour" and in December 2024 I can say, although I had challenges, I no longer tolerate abusive behaviour. I broke free from my inherited cycle-circle of abuse.

Authentic workplaces have a zero tolerance of workplace abuse. Authentic leadership's ability is to influence others, build trust based relationships and move employees into action by inspiring them to create the best version of themselves. Leading with emotional intelligence creates desire, purpose and change while fostering values, beliefs and attitudes to create greatness. True leaders lead with human qualities of empathy, equality, integrity, dignity, honesty and love. A true leader fosters a vision and goal that is holistic, inclusive and its core mission is to leave a legacy of a better world for all mankind. Great leaders lead with emotional intelligence, build team cohesion and foster employee engagement. Work-life balance and psychological wellbeing is a core strength ensuring all workplaces are safe and free from harm and danger.

The Psychologically Aggressive Employee

In my experience I have witnessed many psychologically aggressive employees. Perpetrators of psychological abuse use threatening, intimidating and coercive tactics to maintain power, control and subjugate their target(s). Many aggressive employees maintain their power by overt and covert aggressive tactics including bullying, coercion and controlling behaviours. They use intimidation and deceit as dark power strategies to overpower and force non-aggressive employees to appease their projected unsafe inadequacies. Psychologically aggressive employees lack emotional intelligence, integrity and a consciousness of self.

The importance of health, safety and wellbeing is paramount for employees to prevent workplace injuries, sickness and loss of career. Develop awareness to see the RED FL:AGS of psychological abusive workplaces and assert your right to safety. Break free from the Cycle - Circle of abuse and abusers.

My book Co Bully No More frames psychological abuse and makes the invisible visible. By being visible we can understand the tactics, strategies, perceptions, intentions, experiences and reactions to psychologically abusive behaviour. We can make abusive systems and perpetrators of abusive behaviour fully visible and hold them accountable. Educate, Empower and Embrace Wellbeing.
